MiniDebConf is a local version of DebConf that focuses on Debian as free and open-source software by conducting talks and workshops. Debian is an operating system build by a community of people. It is a freedom-respecting operating system which gives users freedom.

The folks in the Indian Debian community has been organising the MiniDebConf in the country the past few years now, with this year which happened in Kanpur, specifically at the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur.
